Reininga Corporation was founded in 1967 by President John H. Reininga, Jr. The Company has developed more than five million square feet of commercial space in the western states, primarily shopping centers. The company's most notable projects are Paseo Nuevo, a 450,000 square foot redevelopment project in downtown Santa Barbara anchored by Nordstrom and Macy's; and Corte Madera Town Center, a 425,000 square foot mixed-use redevelopment project anchored by Safeway, Rite Aid, JC Penny, and Marshall's.

Reininga Corporation is known for its ability to obtain entitlements in highly sensitive communities. In addition to Santa Barbara and Corte Madera, the Company also earned permission to build shopping centers in San Francisco and Napa.

Reininga Corporation believes that good planning and architecture is important to the success of its shopping centers. The Company has won coveted design awards on three of its projects.

Reininga Corporation has a long history of working with prominent retailers, and on many occasions these retailers have asked The Company to assist in the entitlement and development process.

In 2003 The Company formed an alliance with 2 other San Francisco based development companies which in turn entered into an exclusive agreement to develop and finance shopping centers in Northern California with Weingarten Realty www.weingarten.com. The company is also a partner in Cal Pacific Ventures, LLC, a company formed to develop shopping centers in California’s Central Valley.
